Dad's Comment 2009

27th December 2009.

Rode well today, got to sort out the starts we are losing so much on the starts just to make it up. Rode superbly from back in each race in really sloppy conditions. Wouldn't take his goggles off after they we completely covered in mud and drove staright into a berm as he couldn't see in first race. After that he rode really fast and aggressive to 4th. In the second race had a really good battle with George and Tommy went from 5th to 3rd back to 5th and then back to 3rd at the flag. His lines today were really good in places which helped a lot in what were really sloppy and deep sand conditions.Well done son great 2nd overall the end of another year and the boys just keeps improving can't wait for 2010. BRILLIANT!

6th Dcember 2009.

Riding great just another one of those winter weekends. Was a good 5th in first race and fell smashing throttle housing to pieces. Just managed to ride to finish line and cross for points. Rode great in second from last after crash on first lap to 7th and again in last from 2nd to last to 7th. Great riding but spoiling it son with rubbish starts must get out of the gate then you will run consistent top 6. Great riding though well done.

22nd November 2009

Riding absolutely superbly. Bad start in first and couldn't get through 2nd to 5th all went over the line together. What a ride in the second fast smooth and determined. Daniel Shepherd fell at first corner and superbly caught Jordan on last lap then Jordan turned it up a notch and pulled away enough by the flag. Boy did he want it I was shocked keep riding like that and what a season we will be in for next year. Unfortunatley plug went on line in last race and Jordan tried his best at first corner but nearly dropped it then fought to 4th but the plug got worse and tried so hard that he fell twice. Jordan today you were fantastic and if you keep improving like this then you will be at home at nationals.

15th November 2009

Fantastic effort Jordan you were well in there better starts and you will start pushing top 6. Unfortunate fall in first race when 8th with a lap and half to go when you lost concentration. Good second and third races and you looked awesome. Your rut riding was great, carry a bit more speed into corners and it will make a big difference. Well Done keep it up, magic weekend.

24th to 29th October 2009

Just spent almost a week in Belgium and Holland and it was absolutly brilliant. We went to Axel, Westdorpe, Eindhoven, Russell & Hondapark. All were fantastic. I was a bit nervous with Jordan in the deep sand and still on the small wheels but I need not to have been. He rode great and learned loads. I was really impressed with his efforts and he now knows how to open up the bike as he had no choice in the deep sand. Well done Jordan it was a great week lets take what we have learned into the winter.

3rd/4th October 2009

Jordan stormed off on practice and forgot about qualifying and then the system broke. He was a bit down with his qualifying time but this was the last two laps after he went so fast at beginning. His times over the weekend were getting better and he is so much closer to the front. He was faster than others who he hasn't been close to before but let them go on the first two laps only to catch them back up. Rode really well well done a good winter and next year will be great.

27th September 2009

What a difference a few words and a week makes. The deal was I want to see Jordan sweat (work hard) in each race and he did. His starts were aggressive in the top 6 each race and good finishes. Unfortunate crash in last race on first lap saw Jordan bust a gut from way back in last and get back to 12th. I recon he was probably 10 seconds a lap quicker in last race.

20th September 2009

Jordan was not very good today and we had a few words. He needs to put in an effort otherwise I really don't know where we will go from here!

12th & 13th September 2009

Jordan rode better than I expected and was great on the technical bits. Great experience riding this Grand Prix track and yet another series. I can see the potential just need to get club meets done now and a good winter ready for next year.

6th September 2009

Jordan I thought was riding well just hasn't got bike fit after 4 months out. He's got to remember this was his 12th Meeting ever on a 65 and the rest have had at least a year or more. I can't expect much more after his broken leg but Jordan's beating himself up over his results. His last two laps in the last race however were awesome and he really turned the screw. If he rides like that then he will just get better and better results. Jordan don't worry it will happen!

29th & 30th August 2009

After months of not riding Jordan didn't get back on the bike until today. This kid has got guts! It was his choice he wanted to go to BYMX at Brampton, which must be one of the hardest tracks in the country. Yes he took time to get going, who wouldn't his lap times were down but it takes balls to get back riding on this track and against the countries best. I am so proud of you well done!

27th May 2009

Jordan broke his leg today. It was unfortunate as over two days training he was really flying. We will wait to see when we can get back on the bike but it looks like three months out.

18th May 2009

Decided to leave cusses and go to Long Buckby. First two races really good coming through to 8th and lying 5th at that stage. Bad start as a rider rode into him at start and came through to 11th before dropping it 3 times. Last one was tired and lost 4 places on last lap which demoted from 6th to 10th overall. Jumping was awesome good ride.

17th May 2009

Unfortuate 1st race whilst in 7th DNF'd. Great jumping (as always) need that full on down the straights and it will make the difference. Still rode well track was very gnarly.

9th & 10th May 2009 - Elite

1st Elite round we have done. The meeeting and competition was awesome good track very deep sand not what Jordan likes but rode with a smile on his face every day. Really enjoyed the weekend and got better every race.

4th May 2009

Still struggled from the break in riding but better results.

3rd May 2009

Not a good day struggled after a month beak. I know your better than this son so we will just work on it.

5th April 2009

Went to Dean Moor to ride the track for the BYMX in June. Bike mis-fired on line and continued in race, rode a good 7th. Went off line in second in 7th and moved up to 3rd. Was pushing really hard and riding excellently however he crashed really heavily. We couldn't get the bike started to finish this one, first DNF in over 2 years. I don't think he was feeling ok but went out in last race rode to a safe 6th. Jordan was riding really well today and was awesome in second race. Well done.

28th & 29th March 2009

What can I say this lad rode his heart out on his British Championship Debut. Remember 22 of these lads are 2 years older than Jordan and only three younger and he has three years in this class. I was so proud of the effort he made, 32nd out of 40 on his first outing. Jordan has only been on a 65 since November 2008 and I must say I have never seen a track so rough! All 65's who rode the weekend need a special mention to how well they rode to even get around. Son you learn't so much I am proud of you well done. Special well done to Christopher Mills (34th), Jack Evans (33rd),George Gregg-Pettit (28th), Taylor Hampshire (35th) and Dylan Woodcock (31st) on their debuts.

15.3.09

Great riding you rode with committment from the back in each race. Surprised a few as a lot of people said you were going well. The bike let you down once again with another power valve snapping. Well done keep it up. Must practice some starts as you were quick enough for top 6 or 7 out of 38.

7.12.08

Jordan was riding very well. Blew 5 plugs this weekend as the stator just got worse until it went altogether. We thought it was Jordans riding in too high a gear. He worked his way up to 12th from 25th in first race and the bike stopped on the last lap. Fell at start and took ages to get going in second race but rode well to chase back to 24th. In the last I'm surprised he finished the bike was so sick, the stator has definatley gone. Well done son, nice ride!

16.11.08

Well 2009 has started early. Jordan has got on so well with gears and clutch that we decided after 9 hours to go racing. Mildenhall was the toughest I have seen it and thought we had made the wrong decision but this kid keeps surprising me. Not only did he finish all three races but he pushed into the top 20,19th with a lap to go in the second race only to drop it three times on the last lap and finish 24th. Jordan has never practiced a start and he bolted out of the gate in the third race only to pull over in 10th, because he got filled in, to take his googles off. He then started last and caught through. 38 riders on the line and 25th Overall, AWESOME.
