Dad's coments 2012

8th & 9th September 2012. Rode great this weekend at the British. Had some really bad luck with crashed but third race on Saturady gated 4th held it for a lap and a half and high sided coming into a corner. He was well on the pace. The crash knocked him a bit. Really good starts, jumping was awesome really good racing ready for the next year in the class. Really proud a 10th Overall at the British in his first year in Small Wheels. Well Done son!

23rd September 2012. Jordan is improving all the time. After a bad start in the first he was really fast but crashed. Getting stronger all the time and looking good on the bike.

8th & 9th September 2012. Rode really well track was fast and Jordan rode the technical bits really well he was awesome on the woops. Straight line speed a definate improvement and now up to 10th in the championship. Excellent impovement Well Done Lad! you made me proud.

25th & 26th August 2012. Wasn't the best weekend just couldn't get going on the track. Jumping well but couldn't carry the speed. Really close to top 10 going into the last race and holding 9th when he was ridden through unfairly which knocked him and finished 13th. Still good overall championship result 11th out of 39 in his first year in small wheels.

4th & 5th August 2012. When will these kids learn that scooters and BMX are dangerous at skate parks so they need to wear protection. Jordan went off to Skate park when we got to track crashed on his scooter. He chipped his front three teeth cut all his lips, chin, face, knee and felt bad all weekend. He rode but perhaps shouldn't have. He rode ok was in 8th first race second days got taken out and five rides ended up a pile. Just one of those weekends!!!!!!!!

28th & 29th July 2012. Rode well just wasn't the luck. Had a puncture whilst holding fourth on third lap in 1st race then crashed once in all others. Had a brilliant weeks holiday in Newquay probably a bit tired from that. Great starts need to believe! Good riding getting set for 2013. In the top 10 go boy you can achieve!

15th July 2012. Back to sand first race just getting into it then in second and third rode brilliant. Picking some fantastic lines and stuck to the task really well. Really good attitude and started mixing it up. Overall was Jacques, Walker, Roe, Reading, Clark and Jordan. Great result in great line up for club and the others go up this year!

7th July 2012. Rode really well bad start in first race, second to last to 13th not bad. Second race a better start and 9th. Shame Sunday was cancelled Jordan riding really well and could have got himself inside top 10.

30th June & 1st July 2012. Jordan rode smooth and well for hard pack. 1st race was wet and in places very deep ruts. Improved his speed over the weekend and rode well. Nice big trophy and on podium.

10th June 2012. Well proved that two sleep overs and really late nights don't work. Great Holeshot in last but no energy. Jordan was drained in all races. Learning curve!! OH Well on to the next lesson!

26th & 27th April 2012. Rode really hard and aggresive, had to because of really bad starts. Last in 1st race, 3rd last in 2nd race and toward back in last. Gated 6th in fourth then fell. Good start in last but got forced wide and bulked in last. Excellent overtaking to get through laps times not really reflective as had to come through but real determination. It was really hot weather and the hard work paid off by moving into 11th in the BSMA GT Cup Championship. Well done son.

19th & 20th May 2012. This really is a tough British championship all fast and no room. Just off the fast boys pack but improving all the time. First day used far too much clutch which we had to sort out!! Say no more! Second day took 11 seconds off of laptime and ran with the pack. Needs to be stronger and BATTLE with the older lads gets shoved around too much. BELIEVE!!!!

13th May 2012. Rode really well today unfortunatly got tangled with a pack of riders at the start then went down going for second place. In the last rode a solid race but lost out on tie breaker. Still good confidence ride.

21st & 22nd April 2012. I noticed too late after declaring which bike to use for the first moto of the British Championship that Jordan's front tyre was as flat as a pancake. The rules say I could have changed the wheel in the holding pen but not the bike. We have 1 2012 and 1 2010 and the wheels are not interchangeable so I borrowed a pump and blew it up but it lasted the straight as it had a gash in the side. Jordan made his way to 13th before crashing twice and finishing 20th.

From then on it was one of those weekend, he didn't ride badley in fact he tried too hard and went 2-3-2-2-1 on crashes in the five moto's for 20-20-21-21-18. His results don't reflect where he should have finished I would say he should have been inside the top 15 he was consitently fast, he doesn't tend to set blinding laps, but will pump out the same time each lap within a second or two rather than one lap 10 seconds faster than any other and your not going to with that many crashes. To be honest there were no slow riders, it is the British Championship after all and Jordan was in the midpack before crashing. The last race he was going through for 15th and hit neutral in a deep rut and fell which summed up the weekend. The track was gnarley and deep ruts everywhere and they were mostly second year riders. Some of the registered riders no-showed due to the wet weather so well done for giving it a go, son. He could have given up but that's not his way it ws a confidence knock but take the rough with the smooth and bounce back harder! He's a bit down at the moment but he will pick himself up, it' the BSMA British this weekend in Wales so onwards and upwards.

15th April 2012. Back to hard park first time on 85. Rode well but bike was bogging so holding Jordan back. Jetting was fine but it looks like something with float heights. Swapped the carb for last and he was so much better. Rode really well for 5th overall.

30th / 1st April 2012. First national on a small wheel after moving up from 65 and 110% commitment that I have never seen from Jordan before. First race great start in 5th but nerves got the better of him made a huge mistake when in 7th and dropped back to 18th before coming through to finish 12th. Second race and a really bad start 30th to 11th half way through second lap lined up for 10th and rider went down bring Jordan down. Both bikes were stuck together and they couldn’t separate them and no one helped. Jordan eventually got going after losing over a minute and half and caught back to 17th. Third race track was a mess so rough it was like a bomb had gone off. Not a bad start but then got pushed wide over a berm and off the track at first corner then he upped his speed again to come through really strong for a 13th place finish. Looked awesome and bettered his second race lapped time where all the others lost at least 2.5 seconds. Fourth race mid pack start and the track had changed again making it difficult to pass. Started in 22nd and finished 14th. He dropped it twice in practice trying too hard and I think he was a bit nervous of going down again. Fifth race we talked about race tactics and said that we needed to get the start and wanted a top 10 finish which would have possibly given us top 10 overall. Jordan misjudged the drop and hit the gate getting away 200 yards off last place. Now the heat was on he was overtaking for fun. Again as this was last race of the block the track was really rough but this didn’t stop him eventually finishing 14th.

25th March 2012. Great starts and brilliant hard riding. Really strong group of riders a a great 5th Overall. Same about fall in first race but he cam through really good. Well done.

4th March 2012. Rode really well today. Fell on 2nd corner off the start seems to have nerves at the moment. Picked him self up and was really pulling through from 29th to 7th and he stalled it. Once again no one passed him MUST GET THE STARTS SORTED! Really wet and cancelled after 1st Block. I think he is ready will practice some starts and ride again week before 1st BSMA.

26th February 2012. Went to Wroxton today thinking it was the last chance to practice before 1st round of ACU Nationals. We then fond out they changesd venue. We wouldn't have ridden if we had known as Jordan just had his braces fitted. Poor starts riding well but you can't get by easy on this track. still ridding well in a good field. Capable of better but don't mena nowt at moment.

19th February 2012.4th round of BSMA winter series. Bike expired today. Jordan kept trying with a broken bike the maions went and then the engine expired. Had to have total rebuild. Bike cost him 6t Overall in Championship yet a creditable 8th well done son.

29th January 2012. Went to have a practice meeting so did all the rest of the top northern national riders. Awesome line up and to see Jordan mixing up with the likes of Etchells, Hird, Jaques and holding it for 4 laps before a massive crash was great. He is such a different lad and wants it so much. Went home after that. First time have ever but want to make sure Jordan was ok.

15th January 2012. Jordan was riding well got to understand that he needs to take more care of slower riders as he went into the back of 7th place when coming through rom a bad start. Court back to 12th out of 24 riders.Meeting was abondoned due to the very sad death of Tom Smith. RIP and our thoughts are with you.

8th January 2012 After a month off Jordan was awesome. This was a really good grouup of riders and I though top 6 wouldn't be possible and top 10 would be going well. In the first he was awesome pulled away from a group of good national riders who put him under great pressure and finished 6th. Second race was a disaster but if disasters end up in the top ten that ain't bad. Starter spoke to Jordan and distracted him and he forgot to put the bike in gear, then he tried too hard and crashed. Then the backmarkers crashed into Jordan twice. Three crashes and still 10th. In the last had a fall whilst 4th and finished 6th. Awesome riding keep it up son and you will be great what you deserve.
